I was first introduced to the World Wide Web in 1996 and by 1997, I was designing web sites. Since the Commodore 64, I’ve had a passion for technology that still continues to this day. All of my skills come from the “School Of Hard Knocks” because I love to learn by doing. What motivates me is figuring out technical solutions to problems. Ask me “How can we do       ” and I’m off and running.

In 1997 I started my own consulting firm, The Ashby Group which specializes in IT solutions for small and mid-sized businesses. In addition to web based solutions, we provide network support for a diverse companies. From designing the right network, to deployment, to day-to-day management, we support LANs in several states and countries. We support Windows (all flavors), Apple, Linux and Palm OS operating systems.

One of my pet passions is with Palm OS based handhelds. I’ve been involved with them since the Pilot 1000 in 1996 and continue to this day in various capacities. Currently, I’m involved in the following Palm OS related endeavors:

• Co-host the “Palm Lifestyles” theme show for the nationally syndicated radio talk show Computer Outlook.
• Founder and Director for the Nashville Palm Users Group
• Official “Expert” for the Support Forums
• Founding Member of the Palm OS User Council
• Founder and Director of InterPUG an early resource for PUGs worldwide.

On the personal side of things, my wife and I moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 1999. We’re both originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but it’s Nashville that we now call home. I enjoy bicycle touring, cooking, wine, spirits and cigars. I’m also an avid fan of film and television which has recently manifested into becoming the TV.com Editor for “Hustle“, “The IT Crowd” and several actors.
